: A 30m motor yacht (private) is looking for a chef/deckhand to join their crew of 4. The yacht will be cruising the South Pacific, and based out of Fiji . The chef/deckhand will need to be enthusiastic, creative and be able to think outside the circle. A Strong eye to detail within the exterior of the yacht and be a very organised person. Have an outgoing and flexible personality, be able to work in a small team environment, be well organised at all times. Must be Australian/New Zealander OR able to work in Australia. Preference is given to those that are living within New Zealand and Australia. The yacht will consider candidates overseas however you will need to be prepared to pay for your flight home and must have a Australian working visa. There is a 3 month probation period. 70% CHEF DUTIES will include; You will be required to cook for crew when there are no guests 30% DECKHAND DUTIES: Dive master; strong fisherman and can help out on deck when needed
STCW95 have at least 6-12 months experience on a similar size yacht working as a chef and if you have completed a super yacht deckhand course this would be a bonus. Must have worked on charter yachts of a similar size if larger this would be a bonus. An outgoing and friendly attitude will be required. Be a qualified chef and be able to cook healthy food for the crew. Any medical background or skills would be an advantage.
